The Licking County Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization devoted to the humane treatment of animals. LCHS seeks to further the mission by sheltering and adopting, advocating and promoting quality care, educating the public, and reducing overpopulation by spaying and neutering. LCHS is a NO-KILL shelter which provides a safe haven for dogs and cats while they transition from their past lives to their future, "forever" homes. LCHS relies solely on donations and largely on volunteers to do vital work in the community.Come Meet our Pets:

Our Adoption Process:
Puppies under six months: $110 plus $100 deposit*Kittens under six months: $90 plus $100 deposit*
Dogs over six months: $135—$160
Cats over six months: $120—$140
*Puppies and Kittens require a spay/neuter deposit. New owners must furnish proof of completed vac-cines and spay/neuter within the specified time and the deposit will be refunded. Failure to complete the vetting requirements for juveniles will result in loss of deposit and LCHS will reclaim the animal.
The adoption fee includes all vaccinations and spay/neuter. In addition, all pets are now microchipped and come with ShelterCare Pet Insurance, a gift from the humane society.
