About Our Rescue Group:

Cherished Cockers Rescue was started in the fall of 2003 to rescue and find suitable forever homes for cocker spaniels.
We rescue Cocker Spaniels from shelters and owner surrenders. We recently rescued from FL and put together a transport team to bring the dog to OH.
We love Cocker Spaniels and the dogs welfare comes first when finding them a forever home.

Our Adoption Process:

You must fill out an adoption application, your references will be checked and if ok, we will schedule a home visit by one of our volunteers. You will then meet the dog and make sure you are compatable.
If all is well you will then fill out an adoption contract.
The dog will be picked up at the foster home where it is located, we do not ship our dogs.
We may be able to help with transport to get the dog to you.
Our adoption fees range from $200-$300 per adult dog to cover vetting and expenses, and discounts are given for older or handicapped dogs.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
