We are located in Clarinda, IA we serve the City of Clarinda and cannot take animals from outside of city limits, however we can adopt animals to any good home.

Our adoption fees are $20 for a spayed or neutered dog, $15 for a spayed or neutered cat, and $10 for any animal that is not yet fixed, however the adopter will be required to sign a sterilization agreement to have the animal spayed or neutered within a certain time period. The adopter will also sign a contract stating that they will take the animal to the vets to receive his or her rabies vaccination. We also require that adopter bring with them proof of residence, and if renting written proof that they are allowed pets, and vet references.

We are a non-profit organization, and we handle approximately 200-250 animals per year. We do our best to adopt our animals out to loving "forever" homes.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
