Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We are an all admittance animal shelter and all of our pets are located in the facility. We do not have foster homes and try to move animals as quickly as possible. However; our shelter always strives to find the best placement for every animal. We serve all of Johnson County Indiana and only accept animals within our county.

About Our Shelter:

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption process is fairly simple. If you have animals or children at home and are wanting to adopt an animal from our facility we would like you to bring everyone into our facility and see how everyone interacts with each other. Our adoption fee is $115.00. This will include a rabies vaccination, spay or neuter certificate, a microchip, and all of the vaccinations that the animal has had since it has been in our facility. We will need you to sign an adoption contract that will highlight all other requirements for adoption.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
