We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties: Tri-State Keeshond Rescie, TKR, was formed to cover Keesonden in TX, OK, LA, and part of AR. As space is available, our homes may take mixes, or other breeds depending on the current needs and situation.

About Our Rescue Group

Little Mutt ResQ specifically deals with smaller dogs in Southeast TX: the Greater Houston Area and surrounding counties. Occasionally, a small dog is accepted from out of state as part of our program.

Come Meet our Pets

All of our dogs are fostered in individual homes. A number of dogs are taken to adoption events each weekend in The Woodlands, Kingwood, or Conroe area.

located on Kuykendahl in the back of The Woodlands.
Directions from I-45 in The Woodlands: Take Woodlands Parkway West to Kuykendahl. Left on Kuykendahl approximately 3 miles pass Augusta Pines and Londonderry through the stoplight and on the left, next to the Mexican Restaurant and Angel's Pet Hospital.
We will be there from 11:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m.

Our Adoption Process

To adopt a dog from Little Mutt ResQ, an application is required which includes both personal rescues and a vet reference. A home visit is done to ascertain that dogs are being placed in a safe environment. Our adoption fees vary from $150 to $200.

What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
