Heavensown Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
We have just filed for our 501c status and waiting for the number to come in!
We are a small self supported rescue that started when I became disabled several years back and could no longer show our dogs. I wanted to continue to work with dogs in a positive way and learned about the gas shelters in our area.So instead of giving up when I got sick the Lord lead me to give back...to the dogs that had gave my life so much joy and to our community.
It appalled me to learn that gas was being paid for with my tax dollars to kill thousands of innocent dogs, puppy's. cats and kittens every year! With the help and support of my husband we began Heavensown Rescue to save as many of the adoptable pets out of the high kill gas shelters in our area as we could manage. Since that time we have been joined by some great helpers who work with us to keep this all going. We work hard on a very limited income to save these pets and donations are greatly appreciated. Email us or check out our web site with the wish list to see what you can do to help save a life today!
Come Meet our Pets
We would love to have you visit and meet our adoptable pets. We often have beautiful pups in rescue as well as many pure breed dogs that are fully trained! We rescue a lot of expecting moms and moms with babies out of our local shelter. Also we have had Australian Shepherds for over 18 years now and dearly love the breed and mixed breed aussies so we often have them in rescue! If you would please come check out all our great rescue dogs to see if we have the perfect pet for you family!
Our Adoption Process
We do require you fill out an adoption application, have reasonable adoption fees and a contract to be signed at the time of adoption. We want our rescued pets for find loving forever homes where they will be loved and well cared for the rest of their lives! We have adult dogs spayed/neutered prior to adoption and require that pups too young when they leave us be spayed/neutered at the earliest possible time and prof sent back to us. We also have microchip service available on site and can have your puppy that we rescued spayed/neutered at our rescue discount rate when the time comes saving you hundreds of dollars in vet bills.
We are always thrilled to get to visit with our prior rescue dogs and offer boarding services for them for a small donation to our rescue work.

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
