Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:
Our main adoption area is Wisconsin and Illinois, but will occassionally adopt to surrounding states on a case by case basis.About Our Rescue Group:
Bichon and Little Buddies is a rescue that primarily cares for small breed dogs that find themselves looking for a new home. Dogs come to us from a variety of places. We have former breeding dogs from "puppy mills", strays and lost dogs unclaimed by their owners, and previously loved dogs that the owners are unwilling or no longer able to care for.Come Meet our Pets:
Our dogs are housed at our facility as well as in foster homes. If you are interested in meeting a pet, please fill out the pre-adoption application, and we will set up an appointment for you to meet the dog(s) you are interested in. We are all volunteers working full time jobs in addition to our rescue work, so please make an appointment before coming by.Our Adoption Process:
Before meeting with a dog, a pre-adoption application must be completed. After the application is approved, a meeting is arranged between the adopter and the pet. An adoption contract is signed, adoption fee paid (from $125-$425), and the dog is able to go to the new home once all medical care is given. Dogs are fully vetted, including vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter, heartworm test, deworming, dental if needed, and other procedured needed by the particular dog. Adopters are required to return the dog to us if they are unable or unwilling to care for the dog in the future. We are all volunteers working full time jobs in addition to our rescue work. Please be patient if it takes a day or two for us to get back to you. We do try to respond promptly, but the care of our animals takes priority to phone calls and emails.
