Come Meet our Pets:

No Kill Central KY Regional Humane Society is located at 214 Richmond Street in Lancaster, KY 40444. Our spacious shelter has plenty of off street parking.
The shelter is set up so that Forever Friends can be with the animals they are considering giving a Forever Home to in the most conducive setting for animal adoptions.
Check out our BarkDay Pawty Room, celebrate a birthday with your pets & our shelter buddies.
Experience the loss of your forever friend, find cremation services available with private suites for celebrating the life of your pet.
Did you pet get dirty, wanna help wash and groom a Forever Friend looking for their Forever Home? Then roll on into to our garage space and help clean yours and our buddies up...groomers are on hand to show you how to do it the right way, the safe way, and the healthy way for your pet.
Thinking that you could be a better Forever Friend Foster parent? Then come on take our foster parenting classes and get some animals out of the shelter and into a foster home to help get them ready for their Forever Friends who are looking to give a Forever Home to them.

Our Adoption Process:

All adoption fees are $150.00 that includes full vetting of spay/neuter, heart worm screening, topical flea treatment, ear mite treatment, nail trim, groom, Rabies and wellness vaccinations.
Adoption screening contracts, verification forms, adoption checklist, and spay/neuter contract to be done prior to picking adopted animal up: NO EXCEPTIONS.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
