About Rainbow Rescue CA

Rainbow Rescue is a Non-Profit Organization combining our dedicated and deeply committed rescue efforts with California City Animal Shelter, Kern County AC, Lancaster AC, and all associative no-kill dog rescues possible of all breeds to help as many pets as we can in finding their new and equally devoted lifetime, loving families.

Located in the Mojave Desert, heartless humans continually use California City as a desert dumping ground leaving them completely abandoned and alone pushing them out of their vehicles knowing they have very little chance of survival. We have so many who somehow survive and find their way to us and help local families and shelters save as many lives as we can. However, we have extremely limited kenneling facilities or foster homes and have many to help.

We specialize in small dogs, small puppy breeds and small breed moms & their puppy litters incurring very high vet care costs keeping our babies safe from illness while building their immune systems. Your love in finding them and sharing their loving lifetimes will help us help even more finding and helping even more pets hoping to find loving hearts as yours.

We urgently need your help in helping them through your fostering, caring love and financial assistance. With your help, we can continue to make so many important and wonderfully rich life changes for them helping them find their new lifetimes. Every one of their hearts is so important and needs your love, caring and generosity to make their lives a reality.

We are actively helping pets, either in our kennels or foster homes, with all medical care needs including minor, major surgeries, all forms of vet care needs, spay/neuter, micro-chipping and required shots. We urgently need your financial assistance toward their vet and life care expenses. All donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be available to our caring benefactors. Your donation directly helps us help them in finding their full loved lifetimes! Every "one" is so important. Please help us help them.

We are a no-kill shelter and an IRS (c) 3 approved, non-profit organization. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE SPAYED/NEUTERED, CURRENT SHOTS, MEDICALLY HEALTHY AND MICROCHIPPED. Our listings here are always kept up to date! Please see our website for more information on Rainbow Rescue additional information about us especially if you need help on finding a new home for your pet.

Rainbow Rescue CA's adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in California City, CA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
