About Our Shelter
We are Betty & Louis Dalhover, We have been married for 59 years. We are 75 & 80 years old. We only take in animals that can be sent to Northern Rescues & a better life. Our Sanctuary is for senior, abused & feral dogs & cats. We are full & can take no more permanent residents at this time. We do it because we care!!

We adopt through a local 501 @ the PetSmart in Augusta, Ga when we need too.
Our Adoption Process
We have no facilities for puppies & all adoptable puppies or dogs are fostered until they are sent North to qualified rescues for adoption or in the best case scenario find local adoptable homes.. We send health certs, all required documentation for transport to receiving rescues.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
