Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

G'Day Cattle Dog Rescue is dedicated to saving as many Australian Cattle Dogs from kill shelters across the Southeast and adopting them into loving homes. Occasionally, we will have other "Honorary Cattle Dogs" available.

We are a *very* small organization (just one family!) So, we are only able to save a couple of dogs a year, based on when we have the space and financial resources to temporarily take in a rescue dog. We are not a 501c3, as we do not rescue enough dogs to make it worth the application process. We just do it because we love the breed and because there isn't another Cattle Dog rescue in the state of Florida.

G'Day Cattle Dogs is based out of Tampa, Florida. We WILL do long-distance adoptions with a vet reference check. We also need foster homes throughout the state of Florida.

We ALWAYS need foster homes! Fostering is an *excellent* way to help animals and it literally saves lives. All you need is some food, toys, love, and patience! Contact us for details.

Our Adoption Process:

We ask all potential adopters to research Australian Cattle Dogs. While each dog is an individual and should be treated as such, there are certain general traits that most ACDs share (unmatched intelligence, high energy level, undying devotion, etc.)
If you are interested in adopting from us, contact us at Right now, we do not have a website up with an adoption application, but we are working on it and will update shortly.

Puppies (6 months and under): $250
Young Adults (6 months to 3 years): $200
Adults (3-8 years): $150
Seniors (8+ years): $100

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
