About Our Shelter:

in 2011 we lost our home and my focus then became how to keep the dogs that I've rescued from going to a kill shelter until they can find great homes. A woman that I barely knew gave me $$ to find that safe place. So we had an empty building, just 4 walls and a cement floor. 2 years prior I took in a handicapped boxer from a family whom I didn't know. This turned out to be a miracle for us, as they (Bay Mechanical) came to our rescue when we needed help and donated electricians, plumbers, and builders so I could not only keep my current rescues safe, but continue and grow my rescue efforts. Go Rescue is not funded and relies on the kindness and donations of others in order to continue. Please donate whatever you can spare--whether it be time, money, supplies, sellable items, etc..it all counts and it's always appreciated. So far we have rescued over 1400 dogs and still counting .

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
