About Our Shelter:

We are a County facility that serves 15 municipalities. We work very hard to place our animals because we are an open intake facility that must take animals from animal control officers in each municipality. Our euthanaisa rate is low because we network with local animal advocacy groups and rescues.

We are open to the public seven days a week for adoptions and tours of the facility. we also are an official adoption partner of PetSmart Charities, INC and we have cats available for adoption at the PetSmart in Rio Grande, NJ

Our Adoption Process:

Proof of home ownership or landlord approval. Vet reference if you have pets.

Dogs 1-5 years: $95
over 5: $35

Cats under 1: $70
1-3 years: $35
over 3: $20

Special needs dog or cat: $8

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
