Project Reputation Rescue
Project Reputation Rescue is an upcoming network documentary reality show. It is one segment of a three part media campaign designed to improve the perception of Bully Breeds in America and discourage mismanagement of pit bulls, bulldogs, rottweilers and other dogs stigmatized as vicious breeds.
Project Reputation Rescue entails the documentation of ten puppies born to Detroit-born Bully Breed (pit bull type) parents that were born into dog fighting environments, rescued, nurtured and raised as loving pets. These offspring are currently being filmed for the documentary reality show called K10 (10 puppies were born, 5 male - 5 female).
The 10 puppies are training to be service dogs in a variety of vocations. They will be ambassadors for Bully Breeds by helping human kind through services such as search and rescue, handicapped assistance, Medic Alert, seizure response, therapy etc., and will even be participating in sport when appropriate to show versatility of the breeds.
The puppies are being trained by typical families with the desire of raising a therapy dog, with special medical needs, and/or professionals who would find service dogs useful helpers in their fields.
This documentary will exhibit the spectrum of aptitudes of properly raised Bully Breeds and their unwavering love for humanity. The goal of the production is to document the raising of the puppies and train them vocationally, proving Nurture over Nature, and that Good People raise Good Dogs.
This project is intended to improve public perception of bully breeds by demonstrating their positive aptitudes, and potentially increase shelter adoptions of these types of dogs so that fewer dogs will be needlessly euthanized.
This documentary picks up where other positive breed news leaves off. In the wake of the book release The Lost Dogs about the Vick Dogs' rehabilitation, the point is proved that when properly nurtured even the most dangerous dogs can potentially be rehabilitated professionally.
From there, Project Reputation Rescue will demonstrate that most anyone can own a bully breed dog and that with proper nurturing and training most all dogs can succeed as well-rounded pets and highly trained service animals alike. The dogs need not be feared solely because of the being born a particular breed.
Filming is taking place in the Metro Detroit area. Please help get the word out to those interested in participating, those who have breed testimonials, who currently have service dogs. Individuals would include typical families, people with medical conditions or disabilities (epilepsy, autism, diabetes, lupus, MS, amputees, etc), people in Medical fields, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy and so on, anywhere where pets can support the welfare and health of humankind.
