Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

Tampa Bay area (Hillsborough County and most immediately surrounding areas)

About Our Rescue Group:

We are an all-volunteer group, taking in retired racing greyhounds from the track, from kennels, and shelters. We educate the public on what wonderful pets these dogs make. We do this because of our love for the breed and they deserve the chance at a life in a loving home as a pet.

Come Meet our Pets:

We show available greyhounds at "meet & greets" every Saturday at area pet stores. Our website calendar advises the timeframe and location.

Our Adoption Process:

When an application is submitted we do a vet check on pets currently in the home, verify home ownership or get landlord approval if renting.
Once the greyhound is selected, we take that dog on a home visit to educate and answer questions and to ensure everyone gets along.
If all okay, then adoption proceeds. We have a contract and the adoption fee is $250 and is reduced for a senior dog.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
