Tampa Bay area (Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Polk, Manatee, and Sarasota counties)

About Our Rescue Group:

We take in retired racing greyhounds from the track, from kennels, and shelters . We are an all volunteer group. We do this because of our love for the breed and they deserve the chance at a life in the home as a pet.

Come Meet our Pets:

We show available greyhound at meet & greets every Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. We are at various stores and the calendar on our website lets you know where we will be on any given Saturday.

Our Adoption Process:

When application is submitted we do a vet check on pets currently in the home, verify home ownership or get landlord approval if renting.
Once the greyhound is selected, we take that dog on a home visit to educate and answer questions and to ensure everyone gets along.
If all okay, then adoption proceeds. We have a contract and the adoption fee starts at $200 and reduces to $100 for a senior dog.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
