San Bernardino, Colton, Fontana, and Loma Linda.

About Our Shelter:

The City of San Bernardino Animal Control Shelter receives animals daily to the shelter. Here we hold animals and make them available for adoption to the general public. The animals have a holding period of 4 days, after the 4 days they can be possibly euthanized any time after. Sadly our shelter is too impacted to give more time to the animals. We have caring and compassionate Shelter Staff, and Volunteers that dedicate there time to finding these animals homes.

Come Meet our Pets:

We are located at 333 Chandler Place, San Bernardino, CA 92408. Behind Target.
We are open to the general public Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 5pm. Please stop by and visit the animals available for adoption. If you see a pet available on this site please write down the Pet ID number so we can gladly find your pet of intrest quickly and efficiently.

Our Adoption Process:

We have an adoption fee of 55 dollars per animal.
It is required that the animal be spayed or neutered. If the pet isn't spayed or neutered it is sent out to The Humane Society of San Bernardino or General Cat and Dog Hospital. On the day of the surgery the animal can be picked up there.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
