Tri-State Equine Adoption & Rescue, Inc.

We are a non-profit 501c3 horse rescue founded in 1998. After learning the plight of hundreds of horses each week going to a local auction we decided to rescue "just a few". The rescue has grown from there. We have met hundreds of wonderful animals and wonderful people.

Additional adoption info

We have mostly companion horses for adoption but do have riding horses occasionally. All horses have a small donation fee which varies. All contracts have a trial period so that if for any reason the horse needs to be returned the fee will be refunded during that period. Horses may not be leased, sold, or bred. If for any reason the adopter can no longer care for the horse it is returned to the rescue. Adoption application is required.
