Daviess County Animal Shelter serves the citizens of Daviess County including all incorporated cities. We respond to all concerns about abuse or neglect, complaints about nuisance animals and stray animals.
We also have animals for adoption.

Adoption Fees:
Dogs $70 // Discount fee if already altered $40
Cats $60 // Discount fee if already altered $15
Adoptions include the spay or neuter, rabies vaccination and microchip and county license(dogs only).
REMEMBER: the pet is free! You are paying for the spay/neuter, rabies, microchip & license!
All animals are spayed and neutered by local veternarians before the animal is allowed to go home.
We have a "Foster to Adopt" program for puppies and kittens that are too young to be altered. There is an application process for this program.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
