About Our Shelter:

The Kat House is a Foster Surrender Program. We accept cats who have owners who have cancer, diabetes, stroke, lung or chronic health issues or allergies, going into hospice or nursing homes who can no longer care for their cats.
We also assist local rescues by fostering and adopting out cats who might otherwise be put down due to lack of space in a rescue or shelter.
Our foster families take in cats, love them and treat them as members of their own families. The cats live with the foster family until they are adopted.
The surrender fee is $125-$500 depending on the age of the cat. The fee is shared with the foster family, so they can care for the cat while in their home.
We also offer long term pet sitting for active duty military who pay a monthly maintenance fee for their cats while at work in the Middle East.
We also offer pet sitting with a certified pet sitter local to the area.
We have a local veterinarian we work with for shots, spaying and neutering.
We trap, spay and neuter and relocate cats for business and residential areas, please call for an appt for assessment and sliding fee scale. All trapping is prepaid.
At this time, we do not accept ferals, but we can help you find open colonies.

Our Adoption Process:

We adopt cats out that have already been spayed/neutered with rabies, tested negative for diseases, that get along with other cats/dogs and children. Adoption fee is $50.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box
