Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

Saving Companions Rescue serves all the New England area including, MA, RI, CT, NY, VT, PA and NH as well as TN.

About Our Rescue Group:

SCR focuses mainly on dogs and puppies that are located in Carroll County TN. While there are several rescues in West TN we felt that there was a need to focus on dogs and puppies that were in this county. Our director and foster families are Carroll County residents who are dedicated to helping the animals in this county that are abused, neglected and abandoned by people who do not wish to care for them. We will from time to time (if space permits) help dogs and puppies from other counties.

SCR's mission in addition to saving dogs & puppies and finding them homes is to the education the general public on the need for spay and neutering of their pets. We work with local school districts to educate the younger generation about responsible pet ownership by encouraging participation in events and school activities.

Come Meet our Pets:

All of our dogs and puppies are located and fostered in TN so meeting before adoption is not possible. This is why great care is given during the application process to insure that it will be a good match.

Our Adoption Process:

Saving Companions Rescue focuses on placing dogs and puppies with families and indviduals that are dedicated to the health and well being of the dogs. We have an application which must be filled out in its entirety so that a thorough check can be made before the adoption is approved. SCR believes that a pet is just not a pet but a family member and friend. Because our dogs and puppies are fostered with families in the south meeting them in person is not possible. Great care is given during the screening process to insure that a good match is made. Phone converations & emails with the foster family is not only encouraged, but required. This helps to insure that good match is made and that those who have cared for the dogs/puppies are comfortable with the prospective adotpers. Once a match is made transportation to the new family is arranged thru PETS or another transportation company with an excellent reputation and references from other rescues.

We also work with New England Rescues to help facilitate this process.

Our adoption fee is $400. This includes all vetting (vaccinations, spay/nueter, etc) and transportation to the stop of your choice.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
