Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:
We take in special needs felines primarily from CT. However if there is a cat in need in a different state & transport can be arranged, we will gladly help if space is available!About Our Shelter:
We operate a sanctuary for special needs felines. We provide long term lifetime care for our furkids. However on occasion, if it is in the best interest of the kitty we will adopt them out. (such as if they prefer to be an only cat) We have been in existance since 1992. While we are a small group we are very dedicated. We take in the "neediest of the needy." Special needs cats are often the first ones to be put to sleep at municpal shelters and other rescue groups/shelters. We have a constant need for volunteers who can help out as little as two hours monthly!!Come Meet our Pets:
We are available for volunteering and visiting Mon, Tues and Wed evenings from 6:00 to 7:30PM. On Sat we are available from 5:00 to 6:30PM. Other times are available by appt. Please call ahead or email to ocnfirm as we do occasionally have emergencies which make cause us to change our hours. Thanks!!
Our Adoption Process:
We ask for a donation of 80.00 for each cat adopted. We only do adoptions in the state of CT and all adoptors must provide both a vet reference and a personal reference. If interested in adopting there is a minimum of 2 visits required.First visit is simply to get to meet the cats, adoptions can be done on 2nd visit if all paperwork & reference checks are completed.
