We are a non-profit that takes in owner surrendered pets and some strays. We have all animals vetted before adoption.
We are located close enough to Marion, Panola and Gregg counties for potential adopters to come visit the pets.
We are funded by donations and memberships only.

About Our Rescue Group:

We are a small group who are dedicated to finding homes for unwanted pets. There is a large volunteer base that help out daily at The Pet Place taking care of the animals, helping customers with spay/neuter vouchers, grooming and facility maintainence.

Come Meet our Pets:

We are located at 1901 Jefferson Avenue in Marshall. The Pet Place is behind the WalMart SuperCenter on Highway 59 North. Our hours are Monday-Friday 10:00 till 5:00 and Saturdays by appointment.
We have a large dog park for the public to use during our office hours.
Our kittens are also located at Petsense pet store in the Kroger Shopping Center at highway 59/80.

Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic twice monthly with low cost vaccinations.

Our Adoption Process:

An application must be filled out before adoptions are granted.( Cat adoption fees range from $ 25.00 for those already spayed to $65.00 for those we pay to have spayed.
Dog adoptions range from $25.00 for those already altered to $100.00 for those we pay to be fixed.

No pet that has not been altered will be adopted outside of our county due to Texas State law requiring all pets to be altered that come from a shelter or rescue. If they are to young we will adopt out locally so they can be brought back for surgery when they are old enough.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
