About Paws and Claws Outreach
We operate a low-cost spay/neuter program in Mcdowell and surrounding counties in our area in the hopes of reducing the number of unwanted litters of kittens and puppies. We also encourage pet owners to keep their pets by funding a pet food charity at a local food bank. We have a high kill animal shelter in our county and I would like to see that change. We also have funds we set aside to assist with veterinary costs for those who need our help in that area.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
