Additional adoption info

Looking to adopt your next best friend? Let our adoption counselors aid you in finding the right pet for your lifestyle.

All of our animals come fully vaccinated appropriate to their age, spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (canine/if old enough) & dewormed.

All potential adopters must have an adoption application on file with us. This is our initial screening process and requires references. All of the info asked on our adoption application helps us determine which of our pets would be the right fit for your family.

About No Paw Left Behind

No Paw Left Behind
A non-profit 501c3 emergency pet rescue and foster network since March 2006.

We are a foster home network comprised of over twenty fully trained foster homes. No Paw Left Behind rescue pets come from all over Florida, many from high volume county shelters and others are found on the streets as strays or are owner surrenders. No matter the species or breed, illness or age, from dogs and cats to bunnies and exotic birds, No Paw Left Behind strives to find a way to help as many pets in need as our resources allow.

Our rescue also focuses on extreme cruelty cases. We rehabilitate severely abused pets, both behaviorally and physically. (Please see the “Special Cases” page of our website for just a small sample of the pets we have taken on in the past year.)

We are always looking for new volunteers to become fosters, transporters, event helpers and more! We are also always in need of donations (monetary, pet food, pet supplies, old blanket and towels, anything that we can use for our pets). If you are interested in volunteering or donate, please email nopawleftbehind@gmail.com

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Davie, FL.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
