We rescue shelter pit bulls, vet them, and adopt them out in the state of PA to approved adopters. We help pit bulls all over PA and other states such as GA.
We are a small non- profit home based rescue located in Bloomsburg, Pa. We rescue all kinds of Pit Bull type dogs all over Pennsylvania and we put them into foster care to be trained, vetted and rehabilitated until ready for their new forever home.

AKM Legacy Pit Bull Rescue mission is to educate, and rescue the American Pit Bull Terrier, getting the community involved and spreading awareness of the beloved breed. We are dedicated to educating the general public, media, lawmakers, and others on the American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Rescue Dogs. Education on proper Pit Bull Ownership, rescue and re-home abused and neglected Pit Bulls, to support our community, opposing BSL (Breed Specific Legislation). Our vision is to help save as many pitbull type dogs in our community till their breed name is better understood and no pitbull is left to fend for itself.
