Chow Rescue Ontario strives to help all Chow Chow's in need throughout Ontario.

About Our Rescue Group:

We are a small group of volunteers, all Chow Chow owners, who strive to find "forever homes" for Chows in need. We do not have a facility to shelter dogs, we house them throughout Ontario in foster homes. We also act as a liaison between Chows in need of homes and people interested in adopting. We receive information on Chow Chows in need of adoptive homes through branches of the OSPCA, Humane Societies, and other rescue groups, as well as through owners needing to surrender their dogs.

Our Adoption Process:

All Adoption applicants, are required to complete an adoption application, references will be contacted and a home visit conducted. All applicants are asked to make a least one visit to the dog and do a meet and greet with any other dogs in their home to ensue the dogs get along. Following all of the above approval will be given and a date set to take home your Chow Chow.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
