Areas Mercy 4 The Voiceless Animal Sanctuary serves

We serve the helpless animals of the Lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas. Out mission is to be the Voices for The Voiceless. We focus on picking up stray, unwanted, neglected and abused animals from the streets and people. We nurture the animals back to health and shower them with the love and attention that they need. We try to educate the people on proper treatment and care for the animals and we speak on how important spaying and neutering is. We work along side other non-profits and independent animal rescuers to try and save as many as many animals as we can and educate as many people as we can.

Additional adoption info

ALL potential adopters are screened thoroughly. We have the animals best interest at heart at all times.

All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application. The adoption application will ask on any previously owned animals and will ask for references. After the adoption application is reviewed and if everything is a go we do a home visit.

Once the home visit is done and all is well there is an adoption application that is filled out. The adoption application binds us for a year. If within that year the animal is in any danger, being neglected or not wanted anymore Voices 4 The Voiceless takes the animal back into there care immediately.

A month into the adoption there is another home visit to monitor how the animal and adopter are adjusting to the new environment.

There is a small adoption fee of $65 for any animal. All animals are spayed and neutered and up to date on all vaccines.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Edinburg, TX.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
