About Our Rescue Group:

RESCUE is the last voice for dogs and cats who, through no fault of their own, find themselves awaiting death at local shelters. Angels for Animals is a California 501c3 non-profit (pending) organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter. Angels for Animals Founder, Colleen Preci has been a volunteer at SBCS for approximately 3 years and has dedicated her life to assisting the shelter in providing basic needs for the animals housed at the shelter, as well as assisting in placing dogs with other trusted rescues. With 15 years of rescue experience, Colleen, with the help of the Angels team, have been rescuing dogs from the shelter as well as taking in dogs whom have been relinquished by their families. All of the dogs we rescue are in loving foster homes where they are rehabilitated, socialized and receive all of the medical treatment they need so they can be placed in their forever home.

We consider any animal that’s passed its “due out date” to be at risk for euthanasia at any time. We work with shelters and volunteers to pull the animal and get them into a foster home and ready for adoption as soon as possible. Since we don’t operate an actual shelter we rely on foster homes to help save these at risk animals.
After pulling an animal we transport them to their new foster home and start the process of getting them ready for adoption. All animals will be spayed/neutered, brought UTD (up to date) on all of their shots, and microchiped. A adoption fee is required to help replace the funds spent on rescuing each dog and getting him or her ready for adoption.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
