Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We are a non-profit organization cat rescue serving Newmarket, Ontario and surrounding areas.

About Our Rescue Group:

Kate and Me Cat Rescue was founded in 2005 on behalf of our daughter Catrine (“Kate”), who suffers from various disabilities; it is Kate's way of giving to our community.    Since we opened our doors we have helped many abandoned, orphaned, stray and surrendered cats and kittens find their "forever"  homes.

We stand behind our placements and do our best to ensure that your new addition is a good match for both your family and the cat/kitten.

We are a rescue group that is operated solely by volunteers who give of their time and energy to assist these wonderful animals.

Come Meet our Pets:

Our adoption centre is at the Newmarket Petsmart at Yonge and Green Lane. Please visit the cats and kittens at the adoption centre during store hours. If you are interested in adopting, please us to set up a time for an adoption interview or meet with one of our representatives at the adoption centre any Saturday or Sunday.

Our Adoption Process:

We make sure that the cat or kitten you would like to adopt is the best match for your family. After you complete an adoption application there is a short interview. Upon approval and complete of the adoption paperwork, you would be able to take the cat/kitten home the same day.

All fees include spay/neuter (at 5-6 months for kittens), vaccinations (3 sets for kittens), microchip, dewormed, flea treatment and vet check.
Kittens: $250
Youth: $195
Adult: $150

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
