Areas Free Love Animal Rescue serves

Oue rescue pets are being fostered in Los Angeles. Mostly on the Westside. We prefer that adopters live within 10-15 miles of Santa Monica as we are volunteers and don't have time to spend an entire day driving for meet and greets and home checks, etc. We hope you understand!

Additional adoption info

Free Love Animal Rescue is like a matchmaking service but for pets and people. It's very important to us that your pet is a good fit for you and your family! For instance, we wouldn't want to put a high energy dog with a low energy person, etc. We have an adoption application for you to fill out. After that we can pick a place for you to meet your potential pet. If all goes well, a qualified volunteer will do a home check to see if the yard is secure, etc. Our adoption fees for dogs range in price from $250-$400. This includes spay/neuter, microchip and all vaccinations.
Cat's are $125-$150 and include spay/neuter, microchip and all vaccinations.

About Free Love Animal Rescue

Free Love Animal Rescue does our best to offer free or affordable spay and neuter to families who cannot afford it and offers free transportation for pets to go to the spay/neuter clinic if the owner can't take them or does not have transportation. We help keep animals healthy and out of the shelter system by helping people find low cost solutions for their pets.  We rescue and rehabilitate sick animals and animals with behavioral issues, and place them in loving temporary foster homes and/or permanent loving homes. These animals are either neglected or abused, or homeless and in dangerous situations where they need rescue to survive and live a quality life.  We secure foster homes yards to ensure the safety of the animal while in their foster home, and provide all food, treats, toys, medical care, crates, dog beds, etc., for each foster home.  We are a resource for pet owners by providing information on responsible pet ownership, money saving tips so their pets can have all they deserve, offer advice on pet health and nutrition.
Please email us if you would like to become a foster parent for Free Love and become a part of our efforts to save lives! We always need volunteers for other activities if you are unable to foster! Please contact us!

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Santa Monica, CA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
