Always Room 4 More Paws's adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in the adoption process is to complete and return an application. The application helps us learn a little bit about you and your family and lifestyle. This information aids in making sure that a suitable match is made and will result in a forever home for your new family member.
Upon completion please email to alwaysroom4morepaws@yahoo.com.

Please go to www.alwaysroom4morepaws.com to find our Adoption Application

After receipt and review of your application you will be contacted by us to discuss the animals available for adoption. Please be patient while we review your application. Please complete all sections so that we can ensure a suitable match between your lifestyle and the animals we have available.
Once a possible match has been identified, we will set up a meeting. All members of the family (including any dogs in the family if you are looking to adopt a dog) are required to attend this initial meeting.
Once a match has been obtained, the final step in the adoption process is the completion of a signed adoption contract and the payment of the adoption fee.
Our adoption fees are:

$250 for dogs; $325 for puppies
Your adoption fee helps to cover the following items for all animals as applicable:
Spay/Neuter Surgery
Rabies Vaccination
Distemper Combo Vaccination
Microchip
Deworming
Heartworm Test
Flea/Tick Prevention
Heartworm Preventative

About Always Room 4 More Paws

Always Room 4 More Paws is a small group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing and re-homing companion animals. Most of our animals are rescued from high kill shelters and are temporarily housed in a loving foster home until they find their forever home. Our foster homes provide love, socialization and start the animal on basic training. Since our animals are in foster homes, we are able to learn about their individual personalities which aids in making a great match with their forever family.

Always Room 4 More Paws is a not-for-profit tax exempt 501 (c) (3) organization.
This status allows us to seek outside financial assistance. We do not receive any federal, state, or local funds. Nearly all of our funding is received from the general public through donations. Please visit our donation page to see how you can help and for information on our upcoming fundraisers.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
