Anjellicle Cats Rescue-Philadelphia's adoption process

Additional adoption info

We’ll arrange a time for you to attend a short mandatory seminar on general cat care with up-to-date information on the latest in cat health. (Seminars are usually held twice a week). You will receive an adoption hand-out with all the resources you’ll need.

Once you've found the cat of your dreams and wish to begin the adoption process, you only need to email Anjellicle Cats Rescue with your filled-out adoption application or as a word-document for printing.

We require an adoption fee of $125 for one cat or $225 for two. For senior cats over 7 years of age the adoption fee is $75.

This fee helps to cover our veterinary costs. All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated (Rabies Vaccination), microchipped and spayed or neutered. (If you adopt kittens that are too young, we will arrange the spay/neuter/microchip at a later date).

The kitten or cat will then be personally delivered to their new home!

OUR MISSION
Anjellicle Cats Rescue (ACR) is a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and adopting out New York City’s homeless cats and kittens, with a focus on local shelter animals in immediate danger of being euthanized. Through a coalition of volunteer advocates and foster caregivers, ACR extends a last minute lifeline of time, attention and care needed to ultimately place these abandoned animals into permanent, loving homes. We believe that no animal should be ill-treated and strive toward a day when awareness, education and compassion have served to permanently replace euthanasia as a solution to companion animal overpopulation.

Our goal is to help make New York City a no kill city.

Well-known within the Broadway community, we have been featured on Fox 5 Morning Show, New York 1 Television, in Time Out magazine and on the Food Network, featured on the special, "Rachel Ray Feeds Your Pet."

We always enjoy meeting new volunteers and people who share our mission -- to compassionately rescue, care for and place New York City's homeless cats and kittens.

Anjellicle Cats Rescue-Philadelphia's adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Philadelphia, PA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
