Rainbow Valley Animal Search and Rescue (R.A.R.)
has a process for making sure each adoption is a perfect fit for both the animal and the family.

Because we want to make sure it is a good fit for all involved, we conduct in-home meet and greets, so the dog you are interested in can meet all humans living in the home as well as any other pets. The home check also consists of making sure your yard is secure and home is a safe environment.

Once it is determined the dog would be a wonderful addition to your family, we would then go over the adoption contract. Once that is complete, you are officially the owner of a new furbaby!

Our fees are $200 for adult dogs and $225 for puppies, unless other wise noted.

About Rainbow Valley Animal Search and Rescue

Rainbow Valley Animal Search and Rescue is a non-profit organization that specializes in the rescue of stray animals in hopes of returning them swiftly to their homes. In the event that no owners are found, the placement of abused, unwanted and abandoned companion animals becomes the priority. We also on occasion, take in animals that owners no longer can keep. In some instances, we have fostered the dog for a few months until the owner can get back on their feet and be able to keep their dog.

By involving and educating the community, Rainbow Valley Animal Search and Rescue works to raise the public's awareness of the plight of homeless animals as well as realizing the benefits of adopting an animal in need. We also focus on raising community awareness of the importance of spaying/neutering pets and providing informational resources to pet owners.

All animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped before they are placed in carefully screened homes.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
