My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Pinto. I am a good little dog. (And very handsome too, just look at my unique markings). But I must have done something wrong that I don't understand because when my family took me for a ride in the car (I thought it would be a fun ride) they dropped me at a place and left me there. The people there were so nice, but it was not like home. Then I was picked up and brought for another ride. Now I was really scared, I didn't know where I was going. The people at the new place were nice to me too and took care of a bump on my nose that was kinda bothering me. Then I was picked up AGAIN -- NOW WHAT IS HAPPENING? But now I am in a home like I remembered from ... it seems so long ago. I am finally starting to feel comfortable with people again. Naturally, at first I was a little skittish from all the changes, but now I know I can climb onto a lap, snuggle in, give a sigh, and fall asleep knowing that I will be taken care of. I know I still make mistakes, I REALLY like food and will try to get as much as I can wherever it is, and I am still not sure totally about the whole bathroom thing. All I know is I want to be held and loved and I will give you a thousand times as much back at you.

My Foster Mom wrote this about me: Yes, he was a little skittish at first, but then just show him a little love and affection and he is your best friend. He is trusting people easier and quicker. He will slowly and quietly sneak his way up onto your lap, then your chest, then your neck and snuggle as close as he can to you. I believe if he could crawl under your skin to be closer, he would. Hope you like dog kisses, 'cause you'll get them whether you want them or not! Yeah, he's had a few accidents in the house, but it was also near where other dogs did, too. He is good in the crate at night and when I leave. This little dog is good dog. Truly. He needs a little direction, but considering all he has been through, he has come out trusting, loving, devoted, and willing to please. He really wants a family to call his own.

We believe Pinto is a beagle-terrier mix, (who, by the way, is not a barker - he's not Beagle-y in that way), about 1 year old, and weighs in at 14 pounds.

Pinto's adoption fee of $300 includes: vet exam, heartworm test, DAPP (distemper-parvo) combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, deworming, microchip and neuter.
