Meet "Yellow" Sadie! She is called this because we currently have two Sadies in our rescue and we needed a way to distinguish them. Since they both know their name, we did not want to change them!
Sadie was adopted out from us 4 years ago as a young pup into a wonderful family who has cared for her, trained her, and loved her very much. She was the only dog in the home but was raised with their very young children. Sadie is outstanding with the children as is typical with both breeds we think she is mixed with. Sadie's youngest human sibling was highly allergic to her and her family sadly had to give her back. We are looking for a similar home for her if possible.
"Yellow" Sadie is a beautiful possible lab and black mouth cur mix? But like all rescued mixed breeds, there are no guarantees! Her fur is a beautiful golden red color and is short so requires minimal grooming. She does love to be brushed. She also does well with nail trimming.
Sadie is currently living in a foster home with a cat and two older dogs. She gets along pretty well with the dogs but isn’t quite sure of the cat. She does like to chase him but has not been aggressive with him. Sadie weighs about 50 pounds and is full grown. We estimate her age at about 4.5 years old. She is crate trained and her foster mom leaves the door open and Sadie will go into her crate to chill when she wants a break.
Sadie is a very happy girl. Her tail is wagging every time you approach her! She loves running around in the back yard and chasing squirrels with her foster sister. Sadie walks very well on the leash. She knows sit, down, and is great with coming when called. She is working on wait when her food is being prepared – doing pretty well with that! Sadie is housetrained, spayed, micro-chipped, heartworm negative and is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Sadie has excellent house manners, very rarely barks and doesn’t jump on visitors. She is a very easy going, calm girl.
Sadie is looking forward to joining a family that will love her and care for her for the rest of her life. She is a very sweet girl with tons of love to give.
