Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lizzi,
She is a 4 year young Wire-Haired Dachshund. She is a bit overweight since her elderly human thought it would be OK to feed her table food only. After her human passed away she landed in a high kill shelter. Lizzi is still a little overweight but with continued exercise and low calorie food this will be a thing of the past in no time.
She is an exceptional young lady that will talk to other dogs while she is playing. Her playful talkative nature puts some other doggies off. They may take her talking as growling. Lizzi is not shy, if another dog gets snappy, Lizzi will not back down. She is not one to pick a fight but will engage if she is challenged. So a well behaved roommate is needed. She loves to walk in the park and has yet to meet a stranger. She loves to flirt with men and show off her belly.
She is crate trained and leash trained. She rides well in a car but for some reason is scared of them. Once you put her into her seat she will go to sleep. Lizzi ignores children, so she will be best suited for a home without or older children to make sure she is happy.
Lizzi does not dig and does not bark often. If the door bell rings she may or may not bark it really depends on her mood.
She really is a delight and deserves a home of her own.
