Silk's Story...
Hi there, I'm called Silk here at the rescue.. I am a young adult neutered male DSH.. I was picked up by a very nice older lady who took care of me for the night then she brought me to safety today... I was never claimed by my family so now they say that I am Available for Adoption.. My adoption fee is $35.00 and that includes me getting neutered (Ouch) a 1 year rabies vaccination and a 1 year FVRCP vaccination.. I have also been tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and I am Negative for both.. I am good with kids and I love to snuggle to stay warm.. I am okay with dogs, but I prefer to stay away from them cause they scare me!! I do good with other cats though, I'll even share my food... Will you please offer me a nice, safe, warm, and loving home?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Silk, a Attica Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Attica, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Attica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Attica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Attica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Attica paves the way for another one to be saved.
