About Alice
My name is Alice and I am one of 7 puppies born to Rosey, a chi-weenie, who was found by Forsyth Animal Control when she was very pregnant. The Animal Control people called AARF to save her and she went to my foster family's home to deliver us. We have been there, safe and spoiled, ever since and are now ready to find our forever homes! Come meet us at AARF's Saturday adoption fair from noon till 4pm, 311 Harvey Street. Due to a home visit being part of the adoption process, we can only go to homes within one hour of Winston-Salem.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alice, a Winston-Salem Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
