My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet Holly!

This sweet little girl is as gentle and quiet as they come. Little Holly recently came from Saginaw’s Animal Shelter, and was so overwhelmed and fearful. Never did she nip, growl, or guff at human touch – she just could not process being left there. Holly was an owner surrender – who after just a few years, could no longer care for her. In her former life, she had litters of puppies, had fleas who had fleas – and nails so overgrown she had trouble walking. She has never growled, just shaken in fear. Sweet Holly is still very nervous, and frightened by loud noises and fast movement.

Lucky for Holly, an incredibly kindhearted NBS Volunteer drove all the way from Sterling Heights to ensure her to have a second – and healthier and happier chance at finding love in a fur-ever home. Holly is now getting lots of affection, completed vetting, and a new outlook at life. She is an absolute sweetheart, is potty trained, and is happy to cuddle up on a soft blanket. Slowly, Holly is learning how to enjoy delicious treats, that human hands can offer gentle ear scratches, and her ears are offered softly spoken words of hope. She would love a calm home that would offer her a warm lap and patience as she learns how good a dog’s life can be. Could it be with you?

Please help Holly find a home for Christmas, and share her information. She is still so young at only roughly three, we’d love for her to grow up knowing love and kindness.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family. Would you please help me by sharing my picture and information on your Facebook page, or e-mail to your friends and family members? I'm a great pup and I really deserve a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
