Australian Cattle Dog + Beagle Mix

Hi Folks, my name is Cricket and I think it's because I'm so light on my feet. Not to brag, but I'm something of an athlete. When I get to the park I love to run big circles and get all the dogs to follow me. When it gets a bit crowded I just dart and weave and leave everyone else in the dust. My foster mom tells me I am the best and smartest girl ever. She may be a bit biased, but it's true that I am perfectly house trained and not a bit destructive. I am quiet too, with no hound baying and just a bark or two when someone comes to the door. I have a few dark secrets in my past though, and sometimes I get overwhelmed by too much attention from either people or dogs, so a home without children, or with older, respectful children would be best. I am great with all my new dog friends at the park, but too many dogs in my face at once can be a bit unnerving, so if we go to the park, it's best if you watch me closely and keep me away from the big dog piles. I am doing well with the kitty in my foster home, but sometimes when he gets too close to my treats I do a little growl just to let him know what's what. I am great at tricks, and love to sit pretty, offer my paw, and give high tens. If you had some time to teach me even more tricks, that would be great, since I love to learn. I also love to take lots of long walks. I am even great off leash, staying nearby and coming quickly to my name, even if I am playing with friends. I am looking for someone who can take me on lots of active adventures, and give me a reassuring routine I can count on as my first three years as a bit of a vagabond were a little bit trying at times. I am a sweet girl, and am ready to be your one true dog and show you all my many talents.
