Maya is a sweet, affectionate, and playful Boxer-Labrador Retriever-Beagle mix puppy brought into the rescue from a neglect situation. We know that her mom is Beagle/Lab and her dad is Boxer/Lab. Maya is currently about 6 months of age, and weighs about 27 lbs. We expect her to be a 50 lb. dog, possibly more. Maya enjoys being around other dogs; she is playful, and bats her paws Boxer style, as part of her play style. Her current foster home has two other dogs and a kitten. Maya generally prefers to stay close to her people, and hang out in the same room where the people and other dogs are. She will need some leash training. Though Maya likes to play, she can also be calm. She is still learning what is OK to chew on and what is not. A crate will be required/warranted to have on hand for her adoption, minimum 36 inches long.

Maya is house-trained (though potty reinforcement is needed in any new environment), and she sleeps in her crate throughout the night, or is crated as needed throughout the day, without issue. She is extremely affectionate, loving to follow her people around the house and give them kisses. Like many puppies, she can sometimes still whine a bit, but listens well to gentle correction. Maya would enjoy a home with another dog to hang out with when folks are away from home as well as having a conventional yard to go out and play. However, Maya must be an indoor dog.

Maya is spayed, de-wormed, vaccinated including rabies, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in Maya, please contact Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. The phone number to the rescue is: 626-340-9316. There is no need to phone the rescue until you have first submitted an interest via e-mail. Please visit my website at: http://www.angelsheartdogrescue.com and go to the Adoption Tab to read about the adoption process and fees; thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maya, a Yorba Linda Boxer/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Beagle for sale in Yorba Linda, or seeking a Boxer/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Yorba Linda.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yorba Linda already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yorba Linda breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Beagle breeders who help with Boxer/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yorba Linda paves the way for another one to be saved.
