Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet girl is Roma. She came to our rescue in 2013 as a stray. She had little to no human contact and it's very unfortunate because she wants soooo bad to be loved. However, she is very afraid to make the commitment. Still after all this time of being with consistent loving and affectionate people she will still shy away from strangers. Each year we see progress but we want her forever home to understand that it will take some time for her to adapt.
She lives in the house at our rescue facility and she has outstanding house manners. She is very much potty trained, she has access to the outside with a doggy door. Roma adores other dogs and they are 100% her guidance through life. It's very heart wrenching to know the kindness she caries and the love she desires to have.
She is now 7 years old and has spent most of her adult life in our rescue. We want so bad for her to have a home with a mom and dad that will be easy spoken, patient and understanding for her. A fenced in yard is a must for her, so that she is allowed to have the space and freedom she is use to.
I would consider her a medium to large size dog, and we believe she is a Black and Tan coonhound. She doesn't, however have any hound characteristics. Give this girly a chance.
