My name is Dawson. I am a really handsome guy, don't ya think? I am 1 1/2 to 2 years old and a light chocolate n tan English Cocker boy. I am looking for a new forever home after I was found as a stray near the NC mountains by animal control. The shelter there was a small facility and full, so the workers contacted this rescue so that I could find a good home.
I am heartworm negative, neutered, current on shots and I am now micro-chipped. I keep a clean crate and I will go out to do my business quickly as long as it is not for long hours. I am a shy boy and kind of scared when I first meet you, but then I warm up nicely, and I can be a friendly guy. I wag my tail to show that I am happy to see you and I am dog social as these nice folks had me at the vet office and I eagerly wanted to go over to see other dogs. My tail went a mile a minute! I do have a hard time when you put me into a car, as sights and sounds seem to scare me, so maybe you could just help me with this issue. My coat was in good condition when I got here, as I just had a few mats & needed a good brushing. I guess that someone must have cared about me!! Please give me the forever loving home that I deserve. I will make someone very happy to adopt me . Maybe I am your new best friend . . . . .I would love to meet you!
