Merlin's Story...
Someone rained on these little pups parade! They were going to make their debut in the Aberdeen NC parade but it was cancelled due to the weather. So put on your rain boots and jacket and head over to the Animal Center of Moore County and adopt one of these adorable pups. There are four to the littler; three females and one male who are approximately 5 to 6 weeks of age. Mama Sugar Plum is listed on the site and she is Collie/Border Collie/Lab mix. Daddy was probably an Australian Shepherd, so they're going to be big once full grown. These pups won't last.... don't let a little rain to keep you away. Visit the Animal Center today and bring a little sunshine to these pups day! PLEASE NOTE: ALL THREE FEMALE PUPS HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. THE REMAINING PUP IS A MALE BUT HAS A PENDING ADOPTION ON 12-17-13. PLEASE CHECK BACK INTO THE SITE ON 12-18-13 AND CHECK AVAILABILITY.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Merlin, a Pinehurst Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Pinehurst, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Pinehurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pinehurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pinehurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pinehurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
