My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Don is an 7 yr old neutered, St. Bernard/Akita. Don came to us after his owner suffered stroke and was unable to care for him. Don is neutered and current on all vaccines. Don lived his life solely as an outside dog, until coming to rescue. Don has learned to enjoy human interaction and sitting on a lap! Don does well with other dogs, cats and children. He is very attentive and walks well on a leash, however he seems to want out of a fenced yard and is willing to chew the fence up to get out. We are working hard to overcome this issue with Don. Don is available for forever foster or adoption. Adoption fee $150. Application and home visit required.

Bluegrass Senior Dog Rescue recruits individuals to foster our dogs on a temporary or permanent basis. The rescue pays for all of the dog’s veterinary care and monthly preventatives for the life of the dog while in foster care.

NOTE-Fosters must live within 100 mile radius of Georgetown KY.
