Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Double Trouble? No Way! Double Lovin’!

Well hello! I’m “Isabella The Explorer” and I am a package deal with my beautiful sister Gracie. We are BFFs forever! I’m the younger sis at 6 years old and Gracie just turned 9. We are so pleased to meet you! So I got the explorer nickname because I like to explore every last inch of the yard. I’m not your typical bulldog in that I will be outside as long as you let me. Hot? Cold? No bother! I love it out here (so keep a close eye on me please). Rain…well…I am a bit of a princess and don’t like the rain. You see, I’m a free spirit, I like to roam, sniff and take in the sounds of the great outdoors! I explore every chance I get. But I have a fenced yard at my foster home so it’s perfect.

And who could blame me? In my previous home my mom and dad were very busy with work so I didn’t get out to smell the roses much. They were good people, they just didn’t have a lot of time for us anymore. Yes, I said “us”. So my bully sister Gracie and I had to stay in our room and there wasn’t a whole lot to see or do in there.

My sister Gracie is the best – I love her so much. I’m so lucky to have a big sister like Gracie and I simply can’t bear to be without her! Gracie is always looking out for me and takes such good care of me as all big sisters do. Gracie plays with me, sleeps with me and always has a watchful eye on my antics. She always lets me eat before she does making sure my tummy is full. If I’m outside too long, she comes and gets me and hustles me right back inside. Gracie even helps with my grooming…. especially my ears. She is big into ear hygiene and knows the importance of good ear health. Gracie has had a lot of problems with allergies which hurt her ears and left her with scar tissue. She doesn’t want me to end up like that. Silly girl even tries to clean human ears! She is such a lover and care giver. She’s the bee’s knees!

As for me, I am nosy and like to meet everyone. I always get butt scratches and belly rubs from my people. Even my sister who isn’t much of an explorer will sniff out the people too. She is a little shy at first….but get those scratches going and and she is yours! You could say I am the more outgoing one and Gracie is the polite and dignified of the two of us.

When I’m not out and about, or loving on humans – I like to take little naps. What better way to explore than through dreaming. And guess what I dream of….yep, our new forever home. Gracie and I are pretty easy going, and just about any home would work for us. We are wonderful with humans of all ages, we like playing with other dogs and even cats don’t bother us at all. Stairs aren’t a problem for us either! Gracie likes to show off and race me up and down, but I am a little chunkier than she is so she wins! A yard would be great so I can take long romps and take in the smells, but it’s not a must – we both know how to walk nicely on leashes too. When I see that leash, I know we’re going somewhere fun! Gracie gets excited just seeing me excited and then we both get wound up!

We are pretty quiet ladies and don’t bark much – Gracie will bark at the door bell but that’s about it. I sometimes scare myself when a bark slips out! I’m silly like that. Our forever home just needs to help my sister with her allergies. I feel so bad for her when she gets all itchy and when her ears get yucky….but when she gets the right care, she is as good as new! See – not much to us. We would love to find a forever home, where we could explore your heart!

Love… Isabella and Gracie
