My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tiana is a one year old, female, spayed, microchipped, Maltese. Her previous owners obviously were incapable of meeting her needs. When we picked her up from the shelter where she awaited euthanasia she was very scared and painfully matted all over. She really needed a slow hand and someone to talk nicely to her. Well, she got just that and within one minute she was a happy, wiggly, baby girl. Since living with us at the PRC she has grown into a social butterfly. She really likes to be held and at 5 pounds could potentially be held forever. She is looking for a new family that understands the personalities of teeny tiny little dogs. She would do great in a more quiet home where she can be the center of attention. She clearly didn't get much of a childhood and would very much like to be treated like that baby that she is. Come meet this girl and see you why she is so special to us!
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.

All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org

Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.

The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
