Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, my name is Delilah.
I'm not sure why my foster mom always calls me delicious or delightful but I guess it's because I am. She also calls me beautiful and cute and adorable, especially when I stick out my little tongue. I do that a lot when I'm happy or when you pet me.
You know I came from a bad breeder and hoarder situation and didn't get too much human attention and love the first three years of my life. But that didn't keep me from turning into one of the sweetest and most loving kitties in the world.
I'm so glad that Helping Persian Cats rescued me, I've been a spoiled and happy kitty ever since.
I am very easy-going, I love being around other cats and I'm very respectful with my foster brothers and sisters so they liked me right away. I love people too and give the best kisses and head butts and always look for love and attention. I'm very playful, I like to play soccer with little toy mice and if you play with string toys I'll pounce on them and won't let them go easy. I love playing chase with other kitties.
I also love to be brushed and have a very beautiful and easy to care for coat. I am good with having my eyes cleaned as well.
I use the litter box like a pro and like to hang out on top of the cat tree and observe the world.
Sounds like I'm the perfect kitty.
Unfortunately there is a catch, because when I had my first exam my vet detected a slight heart-murmur. I had an ultrasound done and was diagnosed with
HCM( Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) and also PKD( Polycystic Kidney Disease)on both sides of my kidneys. I know, double whammy!!!!
Good news is because we caught it early, my heart condition can be controlled with medication and regular monitoring and I can possibly live a long and healthy life. For now my kidney values are normal and hopefully they will stay that way for a long time but it could change at one point. What this means is I will need medication for my heart(I'm really good taking it)and regular vet visits to monitor my heart and kidneys.
So now I am looking for that very special family who wants to adopt me and give me a loving home and spoil me and take good care of me. I will promise you that you will fall in love with me quickly, my foster mom says I'm very very special and someone will recognize that. I'm a real treasure!!!!
