Roxie's Story...
Hi, i am Roxie and i am looking for my forever home. I am a six month chocolate lab. I am 35 lbs but the doctor wants me to eat more to gain some weight. I have no problem with that :) I will be the perfect mid-size dog in no time. I love to cuddle and will always find my way under your arm to snuggle. I also love to play. My foster brother and sister are teaching me how to play like a puppy and I love rolling around in the snow. I also like the cat. She doesn't like me as much but Im learning to respect her distance and listen to my foster mom when she asks me to stop. Ive hardly had any accidents in our house and have no problems spending time in my crate. Im also learning to sit and shake-a-paw. In no time ill have everything mastered because I am so smart. Going for walks is another thing that I love and Im a pretty good leash walker. I get so excited when I see other people and I just want to give them kisses. My foster mom is teaching me to not jump up and to sit nicely until people say it is okay to greet them. Id be the perfect family companion for you and promise to love you forever. Are you ready to meet me?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxie, a Saskatoon Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
