Sophie's Story...
SOPHIE
I’m Sophie and I just might be the definition of lovely. You should come meet me and tell me what you think! I mean, I’m crate trained already and ride nicely in the care. I have sweet, gentle and friendly disposition. I am great with respectful children and other dogs too. Yep, I’m pretty great all around. I’d also like to mention that I am nice to look at, but appearance isn’t really that important. Besides, I’d hate to sound vain. Do you think you have room in your family to add a lovely new member? I’m Sophie and I just might be the definition of your new best friend. 3 years old-38lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; microchip, spay, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Portland Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
